The aim of the campaign was to provide visitors with an impressive and inspiring experience while efficiently collecting data for future events and presentations. The campaign aimed not only to give visitors a unique souvenir, but also to gain valuable insights into the participants' backgrounds.
The idea behind the photo booth campaign was to offer users the opportunity to select a cosmic background as a first step and to transport themselves directly into the selected space world using AI-based background release. This should enable visitors to feel part of the universe for a moment and capture this experience in an image.
Users could place themselves in the picture and the photo was taken after a countdown. They had the choice of downloading the result directly to their device or taking it with them as a physical printout. The GDPR-compliant data request not only served to encourage users to leave their data, but also to secure the image rights for future use of the photos. Welt and the Planetarium Berlin Foundation were also able to evaluate which regions the participants came from and track the results of the campaign live via the UpReach KPI Dashboard, which enabled a detailed analysis and presentation of the successful campaign.
