The main aim of the "DU.bist Tourismus" initiative was to raise awareness of sustainable tourism in Baden-Württemberg and to initiate an active dialog with interest groups about wishes and criticism in the region. By organizing six expert talks throughout the state, a platform for discussion and exchange was to be created. At the same time, the initiative aimed to offer participants an interactive and memorable experience.
The central idea was to equip the initiative's "tour bus" with a photo booth Lite to make the events more attractive and interactive for visitors. The AI-based background release in the photo booth was to enable users to playfully immerse themselves in different landscapes in Baden-Württemberg - from urban scenes in Stuttgart to idyllic images of the Black Forest. By providing "DU.bist Tourismus"-branded overlays, participants were able to add a personal touch to their photos, GIFs or Boomerangs.
The implementation included the integration of photo booth Lite into the initiative's tour bus, which was in use throughout the roadshow. The AI technology allowed visitors to effortlessly and creatively design their own pictures to take away as a souvenir of the event. In addition, participants were encouraged to take part in a competition directly via smartphone. After a GDPR-compliant data query and scratching off a digital scratch card, the winners were notified by email. The prizes - including hoodies, baseball caps and flip-flops in the "DU.bist Tourismus" design - also encouraged engagement and participation.
